Wing Tat (TAT) is a Hong Kong manufacturer of ceiling fans. In the 1980s Wing Tat imported fans to the US and their fans were fairly common. Currently their ceiling fans are only available overseas. Wing Tat fans had very heavy cast iron motors and variable speed controls, and were good quality. They are very similar to other imported fans from the early 80s including Moss and Evergo.

Variable speed models may become noisy, the only remedies are to varnish the motor windings (difficult) or to replace the variable speed control with a 3 speed control. As always with imported fans, capacitors and pullchains are the most likely parts to need replacing (see capacitor and pullchain sections) and as with all older fans, with age and use the bearings may become dry or dirty and require oiling or replacement, see oiling section.
